The 3 Ring Notebook Panel provides Threat Level IIIa Protection you can insert into any notebook or binder, instantly giving protection for bullets up to 44 Magnum. We designed this panel for situations where a backpack isn't practical or allowed. This is the same level of anti-ballistic (bullet resistant) protection found in our all of our bulletproof panels but made small enough to fit in a standard 8.5 x 11 notebook. Given a choice between convenient, discreet protection and no protection at all, which would you prefer? The video to the right demonstrates our anti-ballistic textile panels against an extreme 70 round test - emerging with zero penetrations.

Instructions: Insert the panel into a 3 ring notebook binder or insert under the pad of paper on your clipboard (or insert in the storage compartment of box style clipboards, or any small bag or purse or deposit bag or notebook/organizer pocket). Use as a shield bewteen yourself and the shooter or firearm. Protect your head and upper torso whenever possible. When taking shelter/cover protect your head and face. When running away hold in the direction of the threat to protect your face and upper torso (vital organs).

For additional coverage in notebooks or other storage compartments add a second panel for double the coverage area.

Firearms owners can also use this as a safe back-stop for loading or unloading the firearm in a safe direction at home, work or at the firing range.

BulletBlocker UHMWPE UD (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Laminations are a Spectra Type, unique lightweight composite material providing superior anti-ballistic protection, for both personnel and vehicle protection. UD stands for "unidirectional": In UHMWPE UD Laminations, all the fibers are laid parallel, in the same plane, rather than being woven together. UHMWPE UD Laminations are made of several layers of UHMWPE fibers, with the direction of fibers in each layer at 90 degree to the direction of the fibers in the adjacent layers. The unidirectional configuration of the fibers in UHMWPE UD Laminations allows the energy transferred from the impact of a bullet or other ballistic threat to be distributed along the fibers much faster and more efficiently than in conventional woven aramid type fabrics. This is because the absorption power of the yarn in woven fabrics is lost at the crossover points, as these points reflect rather than absorb the shockwaves of the impact. In UHMWPE UD Laminations, much more of the material is engaged in stopping the bullet, making it more effective against ballistics. Dyneema® UD and Spectra are typical UHMWPE UD laminate materials. The polyethylene base material makes this one of the most moisture resistant anti-ballistic materials available.
